Position Description

Under general supervision, the Sr. Financial Analyst manages the process of internal reporting through preparation of all financial analysis for its respective area of responsibility (CMO and Regulatory). This role oversees the compliance with all reporting requirements and is the primary point of contact for respective area of responsibility as well as assists management with Corporate and internal/external auditor requirements and communication with senior management.

On a day-to-day basis, the Sr.Financial Analyst performs month-end activities including actuals reporting, bridge analysis, reconciliations, expense accruals and re-classes, co-development accruals and intercompany re-charges.Supporting, analyzing, and assisting in the preparation and review of the company's annual operating budget and on-going forecasts is a core responsibility for this position as well as carrying a broad range of financial support to R&D colleagues across the organization.The Sr.

Financial Analyst responsibilities may also include contract reviews, variance analysis, forecasting support, participating/representing Finance in various process improvement initiatives, model development, process implementation, and performing ad-hoc analysis in compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley requirements.


* At least 3 years of financial analyst experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry with a strong working knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and procedures and excellent analytical skills.

* Proficiencies and/or expertise in Microsoft Excel (e.g., v-lookups, h-lookups, pivot tables, macros, VBA, etc.) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

* SAP ECC, BPC, BW preferred.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role as is the ability to work under tight deadlines and meet objectives while multi-tasking, and work effectively with individuals of all levels as well as on cross-functional teams.
