Position Description

The Director, Global Talent for Learning & Development, is responsible for partnering across our Global Allergan organization to ensure we define, set, and implement a Learning & Development agenda that is consistent with The Allergan Edge and supports our business priorities.

This position interacts with Human Resource Business Partners, business leaders, members of the Global Talent team, and vendors (as appropriate) across the organization. The role reports to the VP, Global Talent, has one Coordinator direct report, and leverages a global team for L&D insights & execution (Global L&D Liaisons and Regional Global Talent L&D partners). The primary areas of support for this position include My Allergan Career, Phases 2 & 3 and Learning & Development programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Leads redesign and modernization of Allergan learning approaches and programs.

* Leads research, design and implementation of new learning initiatives, and enhancements to existing learning programs.

* Oversees the construction of a learning portfolio that (1) leverages a "Leader as a Teacher" model, (2) focuses on creating 'real' and 'curated' learning, (3) develops Manager Capability, (4) leverages learning programs for scale (e.g., external facilitator model), (5) tailors efforts according to talent segments, (6) aligns with workforce planning to anticipate changing learning needs, (7) makes smart learning investments

* Develops and maintains strong partnerships with regional/global colleagues and other COEs and HR areas to ensure the design of aligned, scalable and integrated solutions.

* Creates communications, marketing, stakeholder socialization and progress reporting materials.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Manages and coaches junior team members.

* Builds strong relationships with leaders and HR in every part of our business; manages stakeholders closely

* Presents to HR and business leaders on project progress; ensures stakeholder alignment.

* Acts as project lead and subject matter expert on cross-functional teams, as assigned.

A four-year Bachelors degree is required and a Masters in Organizational Development, HRD or Business is also a preferred qualification for this role.

Ten years of Learning & Development, Talent Management or related Human Resources experience required. Previous work in global role, strong business acumen, solid project management skills, and results orientation are all preferred qualifications for this role.
